Deliverables
The outcomes from the scoping exercise will provide a strong and informed basis for the redesign of the fiRST web site, and ensure the redesign is completed in ways that maximise the value and usefulness of the web site. In addition, as the initial analysis of current practices has revealed, to ensure the web site remains appealing and effective for users, it needs to be redesigned to reflect innovations in technology and good design.
Therefore, the deliverables for this project will be:
- a clearer picture of current practices, needs and priorities for research supervision and training in Australian and New Zealand universities
- a re-designed, interactive and pedagogically useful web site that is more relevant to current needs in research supervision training across Australian and New Zealand universities;
- state based and national workshops to provide models for embedding fIRST resources into university supervision training and support;
The outcomes of the project will be:
- improved research supervision training and support across Australian and New Zealand universities;
- effective use of fIRST resources, with strong models of ways in which these resources can be embedded in supervision training;
- on-going viability of the Consortium.
